Prayer Times
Today's times for your location, shown the moment the page opens — without asking your permission.
- Imsak —
- Fajr —
- Sunrise —
- Dhuhr —
- Asr —
- Maghrib —
- Isha —
Imsak is set 10 minutes before Fajr as a precaution. It is a convention, not a separate legal time — Fajr is the limit.
How the times are calculated
Prayer times are not a fixed table to be copied; they are an astronomical calculation of the sun's position relative to your horizon on that day. They differ between cities, between days, and between apps — according to the calculation method used.
The difference between methods is the angle of the sun below the horizon at which Fajr is deemed to begin and Isha to enter: the Egyptian General Authority uses 19.5° and 17.5°, Umm al-Qura uses 18.5° for Fajr with Isha fixed at 90 minutes after Maghrib (120 in Ramadan), and the Muslim World League uses 18° and 17°.
We select the method used in your country automatically, rather than applying one method worldwide — because your mosque calls the adhan by your country's method, and a site that disagrees with your mosque is a site you cannot trust.
Asr follows the majority position (one shadow length), which most official calendars use. The Hanafi position (two shadow lengths) falls roughly half an hour later.

Common questions
How does the site know my city without permission?
From your browser's timezone, which every website can see without permission and which does not reveal your address. It identifies the city closely enough for the times to be right. For street-level precision, press 'Use my exact location'.
Why do your times differ from another app by a few minutes?
Because of the calculation method, the Asr school, or the city's coordinates. We follow your country's official method — and if we ever disagree with your mosque, follow the mosque.
What is imsak?
A precautionary convention about ten minutes before Fajr. It is not a separate legal time — dawn is the limit — but it is what people search for in Ramadan, so it is shown.
